Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology Services at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA

PNNL is a Department of Energy Office of Science national laboratory that solves complex problems in energy, national security and the environment, and advances scientific frontiers in the chemical, biological, materials, environmental and computational sciences. PNNL employs 4,200 staff, has a $750 million annual budget, and has been managed by Ohio-based Battelle since the lab's inception in 1965.

Jerry is responsible for IT Infrastructure involved in the information intensive business of scientific research and technology development, including a high performance network supporting one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, unique information discovery and retrieval tools, and trusted capabilities for collaborating with researchers world-wide.

Jerry also represents PNNL interests concerning information technology to DOE and other federal and state agencies, and develops strategic relationships with other Battelle and DOE laboratories, universities, business partners, and suppliers.

Jerry chairs the DOE National Laboratories CIO Council and the Virtual Possibilities Network (VPnet) Board of Directors, and represents PNNL in the Northwest Academic Computing Consortium.

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX)

William has been a member of the PHLX’s Technology Management Staff since
1982, serving in various technical and managerial capacities. He is responsible for the Financial Automation of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX), and his management supports the PHLX’s businesses including Equity Trading, Equity Options Trading, Foreign Currency Options Trading, Futures and Clearing Services.

In February 2004, William was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Tech Source (ATS), a subsidiary of the PHLX that provides technology hosting services.

Bob Keefe has more than 25 years experience in information systems having begun his career in the medical industry working with Brookhaven National Laboratories and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. He worked with Kraft Foods for twelve years holding several systems management positions. He then joined ConAgra Foods serving as Vice President and Chief Information Officer for their refrigerated foods division. He was previously Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Russell Corporation based in their Atlanta headquarters. Currently, Bob's position is Senior VP and Chief Information Officer for Mueller Water Products, Inc. located in Atlanta, GA.

Bob is active with Atlanta’s technology community serving with United Way's Tech Initiative, Women in Technology's outreach program and TechBridge's non-profit advocacy. He is also involved with local business schools: a "Mentor in Residence" at Georgia Tech, on the advisory board at University of Alabama and a guest lecturer at Georgia State University. Dan Ariely
Luis Alvarez Renta Professor of Management Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Dan Ariely is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Behavioral Economics at MIT,
where he holds a joint appointment between MIT's Program in Media Arts and
Sciences and the Sloan School of Management. He is also a visiting scholar at
the Boston Federal Reserve Bank and a fellow at the Institute for Advance
Study at Princeton.

At MIT, Dan is the principal investigator of the Media Lab's eRationality
group, a co-director of the Lab's Simplicity consortium, and the founder of
the Center for Advanced Hindsight. He and his students are conducting
experiments that illuminate day-to-day irrationality in decision-making and
creating software solutions to overcome persistent human shortcomings.

As a behavioral economist, Dan studies how people actually act in the
marketplace, as opposed to how they should or would perform if they were
completely rational. His interests span a wide range of daily behaviors such
as buying (or not), saving (or not), procrastination, dishonesty, and decision
making under different emotional states.

Elizabeth Hackenson
Chief Information Officer; Director, LGS, Alcatel-Lucent

Elizabeth Hackenson is the Chief Information Officer for Alcatel-Lucent and was named to this position at the time of the merger between Alcatel and Lucent Technologies. She previously had been CIO for Lucent. Before joining Lucent in April of 2006, she held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for MCI. During her five years at MCI, Ms. Hackenson held several senior positions in the company’s IT and supply chain organizations, leading various transformation projects, including the development of a centralized shared service model and a state-of-the-art customer self-service portal infrastructure.

Prior to MCI, she worked for UUNET for three years, where she managed the development of Internet products and implemented web-based tools for the company’s supply chain, resulting in additional revenue and a more cost-effective customer service process. Earlier in her career she worked for Concert Communication, where she was responsible for leading the development and deployment of the company's flagship voice product. She also has held IT management positions at EDS, Computech, TRW and Grumman & Sperry.

In 2005, Computer World named her one of its top 100 premier IT leaders. The Washington Post named her one of the top 200 female executives in 2004 and Information Week ranked the department she lead as one of the top 100 for IT leadership. Elizabeth is a member of the Serena Software Board of Directors and is on the
Board of Advisors for HP’s Communications, Media and Entertainment segment.

Molly A. O’Neill

Molly O’Neill was confirmed by the Senate as EPA’s chief information officer
and assistant administrator for the Office of Environmental Information in
December 2006.

As EPA's CIO, she is a member of the Federal CIO Council, where she currently
serves as the co-chair of the Architecture and Infrastructure Committee.
Before joining the EPA, Molly was state director for the National Environmental
Information Exchange at the Environmental Council of the States (ECOS) where
she led the efforts of environmental department participants from every state.

Molly also served as the executive coordinator of the Exchange Network. In
recognition for her leadership, she received a 2004 Federal 100 award as one
of the top executives influencing government technology.

Wendy Bell
CIO of GE Capital Solutions Fleet Services

Wendy Bell is the Global Chief Information Officer for Fleet Services. Her IT team manages services in Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, and the United States.

Wendy began her career with GE in 1981 in the Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP). After two years as an IMLP, she went on to and graduated from the Financial Management Program (FMP). Wendy has held a variety of positions at GE, from Programmer to Black belt to CIO. GE businesses with whom she has worked include Appliances, Lighting, and Motors. She also led a 2 year initiative to put in a single source HR system throughout all of the Capital businesses worldwide.

In 2001 she became CIO of Information Technology Services. Wendy moved to GE Fleet Services in Eden Prairie as Global CIO in 2003. Pat Lawicki

Pat Lawicki joined Pacific Gas and Electric Company in 2005 and is currently

Ashok Singhal
Chief Technical Officer, Founder, 3PAR

Ashok brings over 20 years of strong technical experience to his position at
3PAR. Prior to helping found 3PAR in 1999, he was Chief Architect at Sun
Microsystems, responsible for the system architecture for Sun's
next-generation, extremely successful Enterprise 3000 to 6000 server family.
As a Sun Distinguished Engineer, he designed and specified the system
interface and cache coherence protocol for the UltraSPARC III processor. He
was awarded the President's Award in 1996 for his contributions to Sun
servers. Earlier, he served as a field engineer for Schlumberger Wireline

At Orbitz Worldwide, Jack is responsible for the company’s travel sites across the globe. Before leading the entire technology organization at Orbitz Worldwide, Jack managed the team supporting the company’s corporate travel business.

Prior to Cendant TDS, Jack managed a number of technology organizations in the Seattle area. Brian Shield

Brian P. Shield is executive vice president and chief information officer of The Weather Channel, Inc., a position he has held since joining the company in 1998.
Brian is also responsible for designing and delivery all TWC technology products and services including: ITV, VOD and industry leading digital video solutions for cable, satellite and telecommunication distributors. Products and content delivery services extend across The global marketplace of The Weather Channel. These include: on-air products, radio, newspaper, and satellite, and the distribution of content to support the weather.com web site, web partnerships, desktop applications and mobile platforms.

Prior to joining The Weather Channel in 1998, Brian served as CIO of FTD Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. At FTD, he was responsible for all IT including their global network reaching over 125 countries. Preceding his tenure at FTD, Brian had been CTO and head of software development at the investment firm of Scudder Kemper, in Boston, and formerly with Wang Laboratories.

Shield was named Georgia CIO of year in 2004 and was a technical Emmy award winner for his work in television in 2007.

Dennis Quan is the chief technology officer for IBM's Blue cloud
initiative, as well as the company's High Performance On Demand
Solutions (HiPODS) group in IBM Software Group. Blue Cloud was announced on November 15th, 2007. He also serves as the technical lead for the IBM-Google Internet Scale (Cloud) Computing university collaboration partnership announced in October 2007.

Dennis's department is responsible for the development of Cloud Computing technologies and the data center operations for Clouds located at Google's academic data center, the University of Washington, Almaden, and the IBM Silicon Valley Lab for the TAP program run by the CIO's office.

Before joining HiPODS, Dennis managed the XML Technologies compiler development team in DataPower, acquired by IBM in 2005. Prior to that, he was a Research Staff Member and manager in the Next Generation Web department of IBM's world-renowned T. J. Watson Research Center, where he led a team that created the XL-TXE 1.0 XSLT compiler that will ship with the IBM Java 6 SDK.
