John J. Higginson is Executive Vice President – Technology of Applied Systems, Inc. the largest software firm in the Chicagoland area. Applied Systems specializes in software for the insurance industry, providing enterprise solutions for insurance agencies and companies throughout the U.S., Canada and the U.K. John joined the company in 1990, and has held the positions of developer, QA Manager, and V.P. of US Customer Support. He was promoted to his current position in January of 1997. In addition to his work with Applied Systems, he is a regular contributor to industry publications with highly regarded columns on technology and business issues. A member of the Lewis University MBA advisory board since 1998, he also teaches eCommerce courses to MBA candidates.
