Mohanbir S. Sawhney
Mohanbir Sawhney is the McCormick Tribune Professor of Technology and the Director of the Center for Research in Technology & Innovation at the Kellogg School of Management. Prof. Sawhney is a globally recognized scholar, author and speaker in strategic marketing, innovation, and e-business strategy. He has pioneered concepts like metamarkets, synchronization, innomediation, the innovation radar, business-to-business hubs, community-centric innovation, and connected marketing. His research has been widely published in leading journals like Marketing Science, Management Science, Harvard Business Review, California Management Review, and MIT Sloan Management Review. He was named by Business Week as one of the 25 most influential people in e-Business. He has co-authored three books, including The Seven Steps to Nirvana: Strategic Insights into e-Business Transformation. Professor Sawhney has received several awards for his research and teaching, including the 2001 Accenture Award for the best paper published in the California Management Review and the 1998 Outstanding Professor of the Year Award at Kellogg. His consulting and speaking clients include dozens of Fortune 500 companies and governments worldwide. He also serves on the advisory boards and boards of several startup companies. He is a Fellow of the World Economic Forum and a member of the NRI Advisory Committee on Telecom for the Government of India. Prof. Sawhney holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.
